Angela chronicles her daughter’s introduction to drugs from cannabis to crack, the birth of her three children, and criminal activity to feed her drug habit.

Jamie’s crimes are many and varied with custodial
sentences for shoplifting, fraud and armed robbery. She escapes from prison twice.

Because of Jamie’s dangerous lifestyle, her eldest son lives with Angela, his grandmother. Her other two children are taken into foster-care, to be adopted.
