After years of stress and heartache, I am able to report some very good news:
Jamie has, at long last, got a place in a hospital for Personality Disorder. She joined them three weeks ago, staying there during the week and returning home at weekends. This will be for a six month initial period, which may be exteneded to a year.
She is very happy, having made friends, attending therapy sessions and working out in the gym. Over a period of weeks, the staff are aiming to reduce her methadone. Jamie now has a life - something I never thought I would see! Her ambition is to be a drug worker...watch this space!
Max is also doing extremely well, with the help of Susie, his girlfriend of eighteen months. She has encouraged him to stop drinking (allowing him only an occasional drink) and he has calmed down.
I am proud to announce that Max has recently started working on a government scheme, clearing cyclepaths. He is receiving full training and will get a permit to work on a building site when he is qualified. He is delighted to be getting a wage and loves the work.
I am happy that I can relax and get on with my life knowing that Jamie and Max are working hard and achieving so much. Who would have ever thought that 'Crackhead' would have such a happy storyline?
