'For the first time, since my mum wrote Crackhed, I have read the book from cover to cover. I found it really strange that, although it is about my life as I lived it, I could not put the book down. I was completely engrossed in it! Many a time I cringed at the ridiculous things I said and did.

I would like to mention that, whenever I said I was coming off the drugs and sorting my life out, I truly meant and believed it. I guess, by believing I could do it each time, led me to the point I have reached in my life now. Approximately seven years ago, I left Coventry and was prescribed methadone. This was not the last time I used drugs. However, every time I used, the time between each use got longer and longer and I have now been tested negative for illegal drug use for approximately two years.

I have a lovely fully furnished home, of which I am extremely proud. I am trying to get a move down to Somerset, in the near future, to be near to mum and Max. I don't know what tomorrow will bring but, what I do know, it won't involve drugs, working as a prostitute, or anything illegal !....................... Love Jamie x
